Inland Drilling Inc. offers an extensive selection of drilling, coring, sampling and testing solutions throughout Southern British Columbia. Services include auger drilling, cone penetration testing, test pitting, concrete & asphalt coring, and soil barrel removal. Auger Drilling
Hollow stem and solid (or continuous flight) auger drilling is a method used for soil sampling and ground exploration. Auger drilling can be employed in a wide range of soil types, including sandy, clayey, or silty soils, and is a versatile, safe, efficient and cost-effective method to obtain undisturbed soil samples for accurate geotechnical or environmental analyses.
Cone Penetration Testing (CPT)
Used to determine the subsurface stratigraphy in-situ (in place) and to estimate geotechnical parameters of the materials present. CPT determines the necessary construction requirements for infrastructure such as roadbeds, bridges and buildings, and produces detailed, cost-effective site characterization.
Test Pitting
Ensures ground conditions are suitable for building prior to detailed design and construction. It allows geotechnical and environmental engineers to assess soils that can stand unsupported up to a maximum depth of 4 to 5 metres, and over a larger area than is possible with boring samples.
Concrete & Asphalt Coring
The process of drilling through concrete or asphalt for the purpose of creating holes to anchor bolts or lifting rods, rock structure analysis, repair underground systems, and assess the compressive strength of a concrete.
Soil Barrel Removal
The removal and safe disposal of any soil barrels left behind from your last exploratory drilling program. Proper soil barrel removal procedures ensure your site is safe and suitable for its intended use.
